Rochester Kink Society (RKS) is a member-run, non-profit group (501c7) based in Rochester, NY. Our group is dedicated to providing a safe space to learn, discuss, and practice elements of BDSM and related kink for people of all identities, orientations, and genders. This marks 25 years of RKS as a group and our 25th annual auction!
Our annual auction is our main fundraiser, and the proceeds earned go toward providing educational and social events, as well as other community-based functions. Our earnings from the event may be used to rent meeting facilities, pay workshop presenters, provide safety equipment, and more. This year, we’ll be holding both an in-person and a virtual auction. We generally have anywhere from 50 to 100 attendees at our auctions. The auction will be on October 9th 2-5 PM at Photo City Music Hall and October 10-11th online via Bidding Owl. It will be open to the public. Our Covid-19 policy is that at least 80% of attendees must show proof of vaccination. If the 20% cannot prove vaccination, they must wear a mask the entire event. If Monroe County has more than 35 cases over a seven day average, we will reassess and possibly go all virtual.
