Aqueleather is a group founded in Mexico City in 2020, is a thriving community dedicated to promoting the Leather and BDSM culture across Mexico. With members from many of the 32 states of Mexico, it has also been expanding abroad to include members from other countries. The group aims to create a safe and inclusive space to express identities and explore fetishes. It emphasizes the importance of freedom, safety, and communication, fostering acceptance and understanding of these practices in broader society.
Rooted in values like respect, empathy, communication, integrity, tolerance, friendship, and solidarity, the group’s primary objectives include promoting Leather and BDSM culture, engaging with allied communities and LGBTQ+ movements, and encouraging open expression without judgment. Through education and collaboration, the group seeks to break down societal stigmas while empowering its members to embrace their authentic selves confidently.
As the group grows, 2025 brings a milestone: the election of its first Mr Aqueleather. This pivotal step will ensure strong leadership for achieving its goals and continuing its mission of cultural promotion and community-building. By fostering partnerships, hosting events, and advocating for acceptance, Aqueleather paves the way for a more inclusive and respectful society.
